Description:

Introductory course for students in all disciplines. Includes descriptive statistics, the binomial and normal distributions, confidence intervals, linear regression, correlation, the t-distribution, the Chi-square distribution, nonparametric tests of statistical inference, and understanding statistics in many different fields. Problems are taken from various fields dependent on statistical decision making. Satisfies the Mathematics requirement for General Education. Lecture and Lab.

Prerequisites:

Acceptable score on the Mathematics Placement Test or completion of MATH 102 with a grade of at least C-.
